ACFE


Adult Community and Further Education

MiLife-Victoria is a provider of pre-accredited education programs designed to support people with a disability to develop confidence and provide them with skills and knowledge to support their preparation for work, volunteering and other vocational activities.

MiLife-Victoria receives Victorian Government funding from the Council of the Adult Community and Further Education to conduct courses in the areas of Work Skills to meet the needs of adults with a broad range of disabilities from the community.

By presenting a valid Health Care or Concession Card you are eligible to receive reduced course fees.

Literacy

Work Skills and Digital Essentials

Students will learn how to read and interpret generic and specific workplace terminology, language, signage, documentation and more.

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific task skills related to working in an administration role as well as generic employability skills.

Working in Car Detailing

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific skills relating to working in businesses that employee car detailers as well as generic employability skills.

Working in Hospitality

Adult Education

The learning objective of this course is to expose students to an industrial kitchen where they can develop skills and knowledge in the area of food preparation, cooking techniques, safe hygiene practices and work expectation in this vocation

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific skills relating to working in an Aged Care setting.

This course will explore and develop the skills and knowledge required for students to become active volunteers in their community.

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific skills related to working in a retail environment as well as generic employability skills.

Getting a Job

Getting a job

Students will learn how to create resumes in different formats, identify and learn about avenues to find jobs, research skills, interview skills and more.

Horticulture

Adult Education

This course is held at the Langwarrin Community Centre, where students will have the opportunity to learn specific task skills required to work in the horticulture industry as well as generic employability skills.

Introduction to Computers

Adult Education

This course will allow the students to gain confidence with how to use a computer and the associated skills.


Friday 9:30am - 1pm

Working in Warehousing

Adult Education

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific skills related to working in a factory environment as well as generic employability skills.

Digital Essentials

Adult Education

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn specific skills related to working in a factory environment as well as generic employability skills.
