Manager, Business Development

Permanent, Part Time - 30.4 hours per week

Position Overview

Position Objective

The Manager, Business Development’s role is to advise the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other members of the Executive on business development opportunities that support this goal including: 

• new models of support/organic expansion 

• diversification opportunities; and 

• business acquisitions/expansions.

Client Service Coordinator - Langwarrin

Permanent, Full Time - 38 hours per week

Position Overview

The Client Service Coordinator, Langwarrin plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day to day management and ongoing development of group-based programs at MiLife-Victoria's Langwarrin site.

Support Coordinator

Fixed Time - 38 hours per week - Frankston

Position Overview

Support Coordination is a funded National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service and is designed to support clients to achieve their goals as outlined in their NDIS plan.

Experienced Disability Support Worker - MiLife-Victoria

About the Role

The key accountabilities of the role include:

  • MiLife-Victoria provides supports that enable people living with disability to be self-directed and to exercise choice and control in their lives. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, an excellent communicator, able to adapt to a changing environment and has extensive experience working in a direct care environment in the disability sector, preferably with high support or complex need client’s.
  • Providing support and mentoring to clients to assist them in achieving their goals.
  • Knowledge, ability to read and adhere to complex care plans and/ or BSP.
  • Ensure all aspects of program delivery are met on a day-to-day basis.
  • Understanding the goals and needs of all clients.
  • Work with the Area Managers to address any workplace or customer related issues.
  • Knowledge of documentation requirements, for both the curriculum and the clients, and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining a safe and effective workplace ensuring all defects and incidents are reported as per MiLife-Victoria policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Certificate IV Disability or relevant experience is a requirement for this role
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • NDIS worker orientation module is a requirement for this role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word
  • A sound understanding of reporting practices and use of a Customer Management System
  • Sound knowledge of current industry standards
  • Must be physically fit to be able to safely perform all the physical and manual handling requirements of this position
  • Victorian Drivers' License – manual preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of the NDIS is highly desirable
  • Experience with our Customer Management System, SupportAbility, highly desirable

Driver

As a MiLife-Victoria driver you will be accountable for the transportation of clients on a daily basis from their home to the sites and vice versa each morning and afternoon. The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting clients from their homes in the mornings to take them to the site for their daily activities. They will then return in the afternoon to collect clients from the site and take them home. The successful applicant must have a manual drivers licence, HR licence and defensive driving is desirable. They must also have a safe driving record.

Cafe Assistant

This casual position is responsible for preparing food and drink orders and serving customers efficiently and taking payments. Ensuring counters and equipment are kept clean before, during and at the end of the service. The Café is a partnership between Langwarrin Community Aged Care (owned by Signature Care) and MiLife-Victoria to provide both a commercial Café offering to the Aged Care facility's residents, staff and families as well as a training Café for people living with a disability.

Volunteer Café Assistant

Volunteer Café assistant required at café situated in an Aged Care Facility in Langwarrin. Experience in a café environment would be advantageous. Activities undertaken but not limited to: Clean tables and kitchen/café area, prepare and providing food to customers from the daily menu, Customer service skills, cash handling and EFTPOS experience. Ability to be able to communicate with people and build rapport.
