Catalyst Training

Catalyst Training provides a comprehensive education pathway for people with intellectual disability who are over 18 years of age.

The aim is to increase independence and assist people to find work. Courses are offered in small groups of 6-8 in community based settings and run 1 day a week over a 2 year period.

Experienced, qualified corporate trainers and trainer assistants facilitate the course. Students are supported individually by a Catalyst Work Placement Officer in Year 2 to assist in finding the right job – and keeping it. We have evidence of real outcomes for students – increased independence and getting paid work.

Students do NOT have to use their NDIS funds to complete the Certificate courses. NDIS funds can purchase other supports from MiLife-Victoria or a provider of choice.

Nationally accredited qualifications

Catalyst Training offers nationally accredited courses in the following:

  • Certificate I Transition Education (22301VIC)
  • Certificate I Work Education (22302VIC)

  • Students can choose to use their NDIS funding to purchase individual support from MiLife-Victoria while they attend the course.
