If you are interested in supporting people with a disability, there are a few different ways you could do this. On a regular basis, roles for either supporting people on a one-to-one basis in their home, in the community or in a group environment become available for application.

 

We occasionally have opportunities available in various lines of management that you may be interested in if you have the relevant experience. We are a progressive organisation and like to promote career advancement for our staff.

All employees are required to complete the NDIS New Worker Orientation Program prior to commencing employment with MiLife-Victoria.


Please note appointment to these positions is subject to a National, and if required an International Police Check and a Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme (DWES) check, along with a Certificate of Completion for the NDIS New Worker Orientation Program.

    A passion for the sector and the right attitude is a must. We facilitate the people we are supporting to build relationships with peers (meaning people of similar age and background who don’t have a disability), this is a key aspect of a support worker role.

    Induction



    Every new staff member to MiLife Victoria is involved in an induction and orientation program. You will have an overview of the organisation as well as information on how to access all the resources and systems available to you to perform your job to the highest of your ability. You will be guided through a three month self-paced learning program while being supported by your manager.



    Support Sessions



    Regular meetings between you and your manager allow an opportunity for you to discuss your day to day work, identifying any issues and/or any further professional development that you may need.
