MiLife - Victoria is proud of the team of management and staff who provide outstanding services.

The Chief Executive Officer reports directly to the Board of Management. On behalf of the Board the CEO is responsible for ensuring that the strategic plan is actioned and oversees all operational activities of the organisation. This includes staffing, professional development, and the day to day running of service. The CEO also provides essential input into planning, leading, directing and organising the service to ensure high standards are met and maintained, whilst being supported by the Chief Operations Officer.

CEO:  Terri Carroll

Terri has held the position of CEO since the inception of the organisation in 1992 but started working in the disability sector well prior to this time. With over 33 years’ experience Terri remains as passionate now as she did when she first started in the sector as a volunteer at the age of 16.  Terri has a number of qualifications in the disability field as well as in management and workplace training and assessment. She has held positions on a number of local, regional, state and national committees during her tenure and is currently on the NDS State Committee in the position of Deputy Chairperson.

Chief Operations Officer: Karen Vanderkaay

Karen commenced with the Organisation in 2009.  She has worked in many different roles, in various areas of the community sector for over 24 years. Karen has a passion for social justice, having worked in the areas of young women’s housing, psychiatric disability support, as a union organiser and in local government.

As the Chief Operations Officer for MiLife - Victoria Karen uses a values based leadership approach, utilising her skills in community development practice, project management, access appraisal and process improvement to manage the overall operations of the organisation and support the staff team.
